You may have noticed that I have been closing my blog posts with the words "With Joy." This is a tribute to my very close friend from my childhood, Joy Davies Cotton, who passed away far too early in life. We shared many great times during high school together and beyond, including laughs, tears, and everything in between. More importantly, Joy was a strong influence on me during very important formative years. She was brilliantly smart and creative. She was a loving family woman and a devoted friend to many people. I can't begin to explain the intellectual, creative, and spiritual influence that she had on me. I am only thankful that she was a part of my life, and I miss her still today.
So, this is dedicated to the memory of my friend Joy and the memory of her bright, beautiful smile. Joy, you will always be missed by many.
Thanks for the visit and I'll see you next week.
