This dreamy Greyhound named "Remi" was a commission for my friend, Monica, who asked me to do her two sons' dogs portraits for their birthdays which were both in February. The other portrait, a dachshund mix was in my last blog post. This dog, Remi is no longer with us and was much loved by the whole family. I completely enjoyed doing this portrait of this beautiful dog.
Awe, Fred! This commission portrait Dachshund-German Shepherd mix was for my friend, Monica, who wanted me to do pet portraits for her two sons' birthdays, which were both in February. Her son is an Auburn fan (I knew she was raising them right - hehe) and so the Auburn collar was an added touch for him. I was so excited to do the portraits, and enjoyed getting to know this little fella while studying the photos. I will be posting the other portrait - a greyhound - next time so check back for updates!
I was contacted by a someone who wanted this painting of a special floral arrangement for a gift. She has a close friend who's 31-year-old grandson gave her this bouquet on Thanksgiving Day 2018, and later that same day lost his life unexpectedly. I thought this was a very thoughtful gift idea as a way to keep the memory of her grandson close. I hope it provides her with some measure of comfort.
